Why is a tyre health check important?

The legal limit for tyres in the UK is 1.6mm around 3/4 of the central tyre tread, your vehicle also won't pass an MOT if the tyres are not above the legal limit so it's important to think about what tread is left on each tyre.

Uneven wear can occur due to many factors a couple of these are the wheel alignment being out or hitting pot holes, or if you drive along a route regularly with a lot of roundabouts, uneven wear can occur.

If we spot these kind of issues in our free tyre health check, it will allow us to suggest any remedial actions like tyre rotation for example.

It's also good practice to check your tyres on a regular basis for any bumps or bulges, cuts or uneven wear along with making sure your tyres pressure is correct.
